I agree. When players justify their systems or word associations after the fact, it is meaningless. Zero proof is zero proof.

I and other players do well in the Maddog contests but we are not posting numbers after the drawing and saying see, I told you so. You just are too stupid to understand.

I think the heart of the issue is that it's very hard for some people to accept just how much our lives are ruled by randomness and chance. Believing in the secret messages is an illusion of control.

The only thing I learned from this is that if you try hard enough, you can make any connection you want. For example, numerology and farting lizard both have a value of 145. From this I conclude that one is as useful as the other.

(Also, 145 is a factorion , a number that is the sum of the factorials of its digits. There are only four factorions.

It is possible to produce every number from 1 to 1000 (or 10000 or whatever) with numerology tricks. Essentially, all you have to do is cherry pick words and phrases and then cherry pick the way in which you assign numbers to letters (there are at least a dozen systems). You can massage these results even further by selectively grouping certain digits and cherry picking which operations to perform on the digits. On 9/28 the Powerball for the first draw was 11. The Powerball for the second draw was 8. Like 11/8.

The drawing for the historic Powerball was supposed to be drawn on 11/7.

9/28-11/7 is exactly 41 days counting both dates. The number 41 was in the group of 5 numbers.

The drawing was delayed and held on 11/8. 11/8 is 41 days after 9/28. Another 41.

9/28 - 11/8 is exactly 42 days counting both dates, the jackpot was said to have grown to 2.04 billion dollars, like 42 backwards.... [ More ]
