I'd be happy, but a worried that I'd become a target. I live in a non anonymous State where Lottery Winners have to come forward publicly in order to claim the Jackpot. If I won say 1.35 billion before taxes, I'd be worried that People would try to kill me for that money. Abraham Shakespeare was murdered over his Lottery money(Dee Dee Moore stole his money (She was supposed to hold on to his money for him, not use it on herself which she did)and then murdered him when he asked for his money back... Say nothing.

I don't tell family friends about my tax refund, bonus at work or any extra money I have. They will possibly want a share or for me to invest in some business. If someone is struggling for money, I would help them to create a monthly budget, track their expenses and find a higher paying job.

Jerry and Marge and the MIT team actually added to the lottery profits. They won money from the overall prize pool. Just don't see how having only one ticket winning around $500 million convinces people to buy tickets on the first ten drawings after a jackpot is won.

They've long since decided that maximizing sales is the first priority, and the way to do that is with the biggest jackpots they can manage.

MUSL could create a jackpot game with a roll back to the secondary prizes feature that triggers when jackpots reach an agreed on amount and nobody wins. The problem with doing that is there is a huge discrepancy in how much each state contributes to the top prize so the payoffs would vary in from state to state.
