You are correct but I still get slammed with numerous requests for explanation of terms! These are the same terms that are used by other members. It becomes at times a lengthy discussion that takes over a thread. That is the point. If a person wants to comment about a system at least have some idea what you are asking if not it becomes a mess. I agree with thamizhpayan here about making use of your lp blog. You could make a blog post with all of your terminolgy and put a link to it in your signature, Or just paste the link whenever someone asks you and you don't feel like answering.

Yes to the first question. You can create your own definition of terms, and post the on your blog. You can then reference that whenever someone needs to understand the terminology. You can even put a link to it in your signature if you wish.

Long ago member tntea created a series of tutorials about VTracs that she recorded in her blog that still gets referenced to this day. I often point people to that blog entry when they ask about VTracs.

Can experienced people create different Blogs with the base knowledge they have and terminology they use(like LDR/SS)?

And then can those blogs be linked to new member page or welcome member page/email?

Will that solve the definition differences

We (the membership) has discussed creating a wiki in the past, to come up with a definitive dictionary of sorts. But finding a way to come up with a series of definitions everyone can agree on is the problem.

I'm constantly a asked what a root, mirror tool, ldr etc is. It would be beneficial for the new members to have a section with examples so they can learn these terms that are frequently used on this site.
