I am trying to figure out or learn a system method best for acquiring the 3rd digit in a pick 3 set?

I seem to be able to rather consistenly extract front pairs in correct order but often miss on the 3rd digit

I honestly think my method is more geared towards pairs so I am looking for any system or method that could possibly help with this?
