If I lived in Michigan, I'd love for them to start Pick 2/Pick 5 like in Pennsylvania or bring back the Kicker as a nightly numbers game with a $500,000 top prize.

Ahhh, I see you are one of the ones that was not around for the entire run of the Michigan 6/xx games.

Throughout the 80s and 90s the jackpots often got up to $10 Million to $30 Million dollars. This info used to be freely available on the official Michigan website.

I understand what your saying.

The REAL jackpot is the cash value in MM, PB, and most state games if not all, that offer an annuity option.

If a winner wants the annuity the cash is invested for the annuity.

If the jackpot is 1 million and you select the cash option, it's my understanding that it's the same as when a winner selects the cash option in Powerball or Mega Millions - you only get about half the jackpot.

One Million over 30 years - nobody is going to take that. That's less than 35k a year. So my point is the 6/47 is a ripoff because a game with a starting jackpot of 1 Mil should be paid out in one lump sum, with no annuities and with the lump sum being the amount of the jackpot.... [ More ]

The cash amount is the amount invested to pay the annuity should the winner choose that payout, and taxes would be deducted from the cash amount if the winner chose to take the cash payout instead.

Not a ripoff, just giving winners the choice in taking their money.

The thing about the 6/47 game and why the rollovers are so small, is because the jackpot winners have to choose to accept their prize as a cash option or an annual payout over the next 30 years.

The jackpot starts at 1 million and so the cash option results in less than half a million after taxes. What a ripoff!

6/47 should pay off the entire jackpot in cash. But it doesn't so avoid.

Fantasy5 has a nice rollover jackpot tonight so I'll take a stab at it.

Ok, nobody cares about the Michigan draw games enough to pay attention to them or they haven't been around for the entire run of them.

Where would this country be if it weren't for ignorant and uninformed opinions.

I stopped playing these games awhile back and I guess Michigan is suckering enough people into playing bad games that they will go on another 20-22 years at least with the same games.

Why even bother playing the scamming ass rigged michigan lotto games! The online ones are all predetermined bullsh+t!! I am tired of losing money so the lotto can fill there pockets with money they legally robbed from people . The 6/47, Daily Keno and Poker Lotto are old, stale and past due for changes.

Next year, 2025, the 6/47 game will be 20 years old! It is stagnant and boring and lacks the rollovers it got in the 80s and 90s.

Why not just get rid of all 3 games and replace them with Jackpot Keno?
