pare it down to 2 each of nouns, verbs, and adjectives. don't know how detailed your dreams are or how well you remember them, but 6 words is probably manageable for someone who frequently remembers their dreams. i assume you're feeding the words into some kind of program that outputs numbers from words?

some people keep a notebook and pencil by their beds to write down dream words when they wake up in the middle of the night.

That's a lot of possibilities though. It seems it really would only work with specific phrases from dreams...
