Modular code by using functions is definitely the way to go, it does make life easier when incorporating previous functions into new programs.

Functions should be atomic, that is to limit themselves to doing one thing well. I am working with this concept right now actually, incorporating a function for measuring variable term followers into a program that does variable term hot and cold classification.

Proposed Improvements

Add more sorting criteria:

Include analysis of even and odd numbers.

Consider the distribution of digits (e.g. all different, two the same, etc.).
