You see a 3 digit combination, such as 456, that looks good to you so you decide to play it.

You play it every day and days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, and months turn into years, which results in the loss of hundreds or thousands of dollars.

That is an evil that I have experienced and I imagine other players have experienced it too.

I'm not gonna blame the lottery, even though it is predatory.

I blame my system and therefore, myself.

It's not the game. It's your system. Many of us have systems so to speak. Some large and some small. You have to ask yourself. Does this really improve my chances? I believe mine does. Creating systems is more enjoyable most times than actually playing. It is a game of using code and spreadsheets to make a better guess.

Try to learn a bit more with each attempt. A Rubik's Cube is not an unknown future event. Simply slide the pieces around so that the colors line up just as they were to begin with. Nothing about it is unknowable.

The outcome of a future random number is unknowable . You would need a time machine, and those things don't exist.
