Today, went to same store--you need to purchase a minimum of $25 lottery tickets to use debit.

I saw that exact situation happen here in Pennsylvania. Shortly after it became legal to buy lottery with a debit card, the person in line ahead of me tried to buy with a debit card and the clerk wasn't able to do it. IIRC, the clerk admitted that she hadn't been trained yet on the steps needed to accept debit for lottery. But I can see how in some cases, the clerk might not be willing to admit that.

Good morning. Well that's weird . Perhaps the employee wasn't aware of the new law/rules. Or they could be still trying to work out some of the kinks . Good luck in the future.

Hello everyone . I went to my usual convenience store to put in my numbers for this afternoon. I was caught by surprise when the clerk asked me if I was paying with cash or debit card ? Has anyone else used their debit card to play the SC lottery yet
