I used to keep track of Virginia's 3-ball fairly religiously, and there was always a three-digit combo that hadn't won in exact order in at least 6,000 drawings. Divide 6000 by 100, and you get 60, which is the number of non-shows by the number 3 in the Oklahoma Lottery (20 Pick-3 drawings). So, I do not find the number 3 not showing up for twenty drawings unusual.

The ball draw states have pretests, then the drawing, then the post draw tests. Next day pretests then the drawing then the post draw tests. So that's at least 8 tests, 4 pre 4 post or maybe 5 3, or even more depending on the state, between each official draw. What always struck me on the ball draw states was how one number could miss on the 9th draw all those times in a row.

Its not unusual for skip count to reach 20+. This is the current skip count for pick 3 games.

Any digit has 271 straight combinations which has an expected skip count of 2.69 draws.

I personally think its better to play some event that is transitioning from say 2x to 3x skip count versus playing outliers. But does it really matter its all random and you are only tracking 1 event.

I'm not very fluent in conspiracy theorist so I wouldn't want to make any categorical statements about their thinkingt. For all I know the OP solved the prediction puzzle on June 8th and has been using a 3 ever since and wondering why that's the number that hasn't come up.

It's about a 2% chance any one digit won't be drawn that long.

I put it at 0.18%. The probability of not drawing a particular digit is 0.9, so the chance of not drawing it in 3 tries is 0.9^3 is 0.729. To not do it in 20 drawings is 0.729^20 or 0.001797. That's about 1 in 556, so almost twice as likely as a single ticket winning the pick 3.

Random numbers do random things. It's about a 2% chance any one digit won't be drawn that long. Uncommon but not evidence of a rigged lottery .

What would be far more rare is the opposite situation, where each digit comes out exactly 18 times in 180 draws (60 pick 3 drawings). 1 in a billion.
