Any patterns I thought I saw never held against back tests. Also, if patterns are not consistent enough to provide actionable data, then they are not of much use.

Back testing has been the great humbler of every big idea I have had over the last 20+ years...

Have you tried making your numbers based on the patterns and not playing them, and then comparing them to results? Is it one of those, the patterns would've worked but because i played them, they didn't

Instead of looking at the last time a number was drawn, look at every time that number was drawn... count the frequency of each following number. What you will see is a distribution that seems to favor certain numbers. When you look closer, you will see that the most frequent follower does NOT always follow... the next number seems to follow from the middle 3/5 of the distribution.

Ive lived in Washington state for many years and had software developed to see if there are patterns in the states computer generated lottery games. The idea is, every time a certain number is drawn, what gets drawn next? I do that by looking at the last time that number has been drawn. Same can be done with pairs, triples and so on. For example, with Keno, i can go back to the early 90s and see what happened the draw after. My point is, there are patterns, its usually in sets of 3s. Attached is... [ More ]
