Ok that makes sense. If it used the actual draw history attempting to create combinations that feature attributes like combinations that win (much like we do with filters) and achieved a 60/40 hit rate within 10,000 combinations it would put jackpots within the range of Pick-4 Straight more often then not.

If only 100,000 out of 292 million combinations look random enough , this would explain why some people whine at the winning numbers, claiming there's something suspicious about them. Too many are even, too many are close together, blah blah blah.

Even if it guessed right, it is the same level of coincidence as playing the correct numbers from a fortune cookie...

LLMs can be helpful if you already have some idea of how to code and want to use it as a coding tutor to help with certain sections, I would never trust it to clean sheet a script. It is great, however at turbocharging complex nested Excel formulas.

I have not been impressed with the number picks from Chad g petey either. I have had it create a Python code and use the last 20 lottery results with parameters like have hit one time and other non wildcard factors. The numbers were always losers. Maybe better for excluding the numbers it picks.

You should tell Chat G Petey that the third one is not a valid Powerball pick. The 5 white balls have to be different.

sorry this is going to be a bit long...

since lots of people here are interested in using chatgpt (or chad g petey as i prefer to call him) to crack the lottery, i asked it how it generates random numbers when people ask it for lottery numbers. the tl;dr version is that chad outputs numbers that appear random based on the language model it uses, and it does not actually use any kind of random number generating algorithm like with a programming language.
