Maybe different states do it differently.

The 7K a week times 52 weeks gives you 364K.

Do they send payment every week or do one annual payment every year for the annuity?

1K a day for life where I live is advertised as 365K a year. Maybe they work with the leap year or simply the one that has 365 days

The Lucky for Life jackpot can be payed out as:

1. A lump sum of $5,750,000 before taxes .

2. An annuity of 365,000 a year before taxes.

The prize is guaranteed for 20 years in the event of the death of the winner.

If you collect the first 365K and die that year, your beneficiaries will be paid out 365K each year for 19 years.

That's what they mean by a 20 year guaranteed.

Otherwise you will be paid 365K until you die, whether that's for 21, 30, 40 or 50 years.

Wisconsin checking in here. If I could only play one game for life, it would be Super Cash. It's not that I'm looking for the jackpot, I won't turn that down, but the second prize is the best odds of winning $500 of any of the games that offer such a prize offered in Wisconsin.

Over time the games change and the odds get worse and they get switched from ball drawings to RNG so as the years go by the games just keep getting worse and worse so if I had to pick just one game to play I would just quit altogether because there aren't any great games right now and even if there were I am sure the lottery consortiums would eventually ruin them. Gotta have competition amongst a reasonable amount of games because there is only so much money to go around and having too many game... [ More ]

People always say MD gets all the good numbers and we do lol. I always use the lottery post because it saves me time and have the best tools. If you could only play one lottery game for the rest of your life, which would it be and why?

My favorite game was the Florida 5/26 because by the time it had ended I'd figured out how to beat it by playing all the previous winning combinations. Game had enough 4 and 5 combinations that hit again to make it worth playing that way until the cost started to push the $25,000 grand prize. While the game has ended, any game can be canceled or revived at any time.

That would be Lucky for Life.

It has better odds and the grand prize of $1,000 for life with 20 years guarantee even when you die seems solid.

It also draws every day, so always something to look forward to.

Hands up it would be pick 4 Illinois Lottery with fireball. I would never play without fireball. It is because of Lottery Post how easy it is to use. That I have won a few time.

Illinois Lottery website takes to long to look up past number. Quads are your friends with fireball

If I could only play one game the rest of my life I think it would be Fantasy 5. The reason is because you only need 5 balls to match to win and also the jackpots still get reasonably high. (Gets into 6 figures.) I think this lottery has good odds.

If I could only play one game for life, I would play Pick 4 for the challenge. MzD is right, Pick 3 is much easier but I like the challenge of trying to forecast that one extra number for a big win. It takes time, but the work is worth the effort.

Pick 3. It's the easiest. If a single was the last draw, pick one digit to repeat. Make pairs out of the remaining 7 digits. Add your repeat digit to the pairs. 21 combos. If your repeat digit is the only repeat on the next single draw you win.

Pick 3 all day, every day. It is easier to develop strategies for that. Plus, if you win less than $600, you are not taxed on it. The key is to find a great strategy first. Then play multiple tickets when you feel confident and the numbers line up.
