Funny story,

Back in 1992 or 1993, before my grandpa passed, I was given $10. It was supposed to be gas money.

I stopped at a sunoco, bought some tickets and won back $9. I explained a little bit but crazy.

From a doing something stupid point of view, yes. I have had plenty of money, stupidly left it in yesterday's pants and so borrowed $20 from a friend or coworker for lunch and whatever else I wanted that day including lottery tickets. The friend knew that the $20 would return the next day. No problem. I have loaned $20 the same way for friends who did the same stupid thing I had done and may have also wanted tickets too. if yes, would you tell the person who lent you money what you were spending the money on? do you have a low limit, like you would only borrow $1 at the max, or are you comfortable asking someone to spot you $20 or more for lotto?

if you have borrowed money to play the lottery in the past, did you pay it back or make some verbal agreement to give the lender a cut of the prize if you won
