In Netscape you can disable java script, but that can cause other troubles because it kills even stuff you want. I like the popup killer lotto-logix.com links to because you turn on the killer when you know you're going to be needing it and you pick only what you want killed. If you make a mistake and kill your browser (like when you try to kill netscrape's initial popup ad) you can take it back out of the popup killer's list of popups to kill. Link to the pow site below. Since it was a very conscious decision on my part never, ever to show a single pop-up ad, I am very glad that you have noticed. My rule of thumb is, if it annoys me, then it won't be on my site.I surf the net quite a bit, so I like to design my websites to reflect what I like dislike. Personally, I dislike popups SO MUCH that I installed special software on my PC so that most popups are disabled.
