I would drop BOTH Mass Millions and MA Megabucks and replace them with a 6/48 game drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays. It would have a CASH OPTION of course (perhaps make the annuity 25 or 26 payments), but I would also pay better on the lower tiers, including a $5 prize for matching three numbers. The Hot Lotto cash option should be the same percentage of the annuity value as the Powerball cash/annuity split.

Mass Cash does NOT need to be replaced-in fact, the pick-5 games in CT/NY/NJ/PA are drawn DAILY

MegaMillions? Well, considering we may see a 500 MIL jackpot someday ... and 100 MIL jackpots will be a lot more common ... I'd say the name fits!I was lobbying for Goliath or JumboLaya or The Jumbo or El Gordo (like the Spanish Lotto)On the subject of the Mass. Lottery ... they'd do themselves good by combining MegaBucks/MassMillions/MassCash and creating MassLotto or their own version of SuperLotto or SuperLottoPlus. Maybe have one game but, three drawings per week.

Patrick and Todd,I'm with ya on this one.. When I first read that I thought hmm... what happened to short and sweet? Being a MA resident and have seen a few store clerks that wasn't quite paying attention (not that I blame them) when I asked for big game, I can imagine what it will be like having Mass Millions and Mega Millions available. Ugh. As much as I loath the new name, I am 99% sure that's it. Virginia Lottery has registered a ton of variations including biggamemegamillions.com , bgmegamillions.com , etc.There are SO many reasons I dislike the new name. I was really hoping they'd go with MegaGame , which is short, sweet, and makes sense as the next step in the game's evolution .But that's just my opinion.-Todd

I got an e-mail Tuesday mentioning Megamillions' 1 in 135 million odds. I skipped the name part because I knew that 135 million meant the 52+52 double matrix I had previously calculated, which is where I got the 135 million.

I heard that it would be either MegaGame or MegaMillions . So, I guess it would be MegaMillions. Hopefully Massachusetts will do away with its Mass Millions and change the Megabucks to a format where players can choose CASH or annuity after they win. PS-Don't forget the start of Hot Lotto Sunday in New Hampshire.

Hello All,While buying a few quickpicks for the Big Game I saw a printed notice (like the ones I usually see come from the lottery machines) stating that the game would be changing in May and it called it Big Game-Mega Millions .I'm not sure if that's the official name, but seeing that it came from the lottery I figure it's probably in the running.Best of luck to everyone tomorrow night..and someone might want to remind therock about counting chickens before they hatch..
