If the lottery players are rational enought and response with buying lottery ticket at higher jackpot level! Then the problem maybe low lottery sales, and low jackpot growth.Although every drawing (day) are independent (where a jackpot winner or not) is not going to affect the next one. It is anticipated that it take more draw to have a jackpot winner. Rob,After reading that same material I thought that it's really going to be tough to justify buying any amount of tickets for the smaller jackpots. I wonder if having such high odds might actually work to slow the progression of a jackpot from the 10 or 30 million range to the 80 or 100 plus range. I think alot of people who are willing to slap 5 or 10 bucks down for a 30 million jackpot might hold off and wait because of the larger odds. Just a thought

MUSL (Powerball) is hoping nobody plays BG-MM at $10 million. But look for Powerball to toughen the odds in 2003. Remember that Pennsylvania is joining MUSL this summer, and, I'm predicting South Carolina will get Powerball because its lottery neighbor is Georgia.

Okay ...So BBMM starts at 10 MIL ... and could reach 500 MIL or higher ... and the avg jackpot will be around 80 MIL.So what I read out of this is basically not to bother playing until it reaches 50 MIL or so ... cuz nobody expects many 10,20,30 MIL dollar jackpot winners.Am I right in my thinking or am I way off base?Rob
