Perhaps my syntax was incorrect what I meant was the more people playing the odds of there being a winner are greater because the possibility of the combination of numbers being picked by someone is greater. Anyway it's not impossible to win just harder than before.

You contradicted yourself. The odds of winning are independent of whoever else plays or the size of the jackpot.

Your odds of winning are exactly the same as anyone else playing. If you don't play until the prize is big your odds get longer because more people are also playing for the big money.Hopefully the money you play is money you'd flit away on some other frivolity anyway and not your rent or food money. Btw 175 grand ain't nothing to sneeze at either. At least a quarter of a million people win something each drawing other than the jackpot.

Actually the odds of me making it into the Major League Baseball and hitting a grand slam with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth in the 7th game of the World Series is zero because I'm not trying out to get into MLB. So Mega Millions' odds are slightly better. ;)As for sleeping with Britney? Hmm, I guess those odds are better seeing as though there are probably less men aged 20 - 25 in the US than 135million (the odds of winning BG MM).

Just bought my first NY Mega Million tickets. The first jackpot starting at 25 million thanks to the carry over from the Big Game. Now I don't have to train to Jersey anymore.Yippee
