If you think you had trouble buying a ticket, wait till you match 5 of 6 in SuperLotoPlus. I matched 5 a couple of weeks ago, and the store owner said that was the first winner she had since taking over the store a year earlier that require her to fill out a claim form. She filled it out and I went to an approved bank in another county to collect may money and they told me it was filled out wrong and I had to go back to the store and start over again. I hope it will be easier when I win the jack... [ More ]

I also meant to suggest: Make the Kicker a truly seperate game from Lotto (if someone wants to play Kicker without Lotto, they should be allowed to do so), or, dump the Kicker altogether.

I think what is happening in Ohio, is customer service. The lottery commision is not taking the time to make sure the people working in outlet stores are properly trained. And maybe it's because the stores aren't getting a fair share to put more time and effort into making sure there people are properly trained. It's like there new machines, most of the employees don't know how to use them. causing frustration for them and the customers. Just like last night, I met my exwife half way to pick up my... [ More ]

I suggested last week that Ohio remove one number from the game (6/48 instead of 6/49), stop drawing the bonus ball , pay $3 for a three number match, change the 4-of-6 and 5-of-6 prizes to pari-mutuel (with the average prize for either category roughly the same as the current fixed prizes), and, changing the jackpot to ALL CASH, so that the Ohio Lottery would stop cheating cash-option winners out of their full prize (44% vs 53-54% in Mega Millions).

I doubt they'll ever get rid of it though. But either way, it was never that popular. Though this should be expected since Big Game Mega Millions is obviously going to take business/money away from 6/49 lotto, even if it was previously popular.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. It seems to me that since the most recent jackpot hit, Ohio 6/49 Lotto went from $4 million, to $5m, to $6m, and then $7 million for last night's draw. Wednesday's jackpot is only $9 million.
