1. The population of Illinois is higher than that of Virginia. 2. Illinois does not border another Mega Millions state (Maryland sells Mega Millions and therefore Marylanders don't need to come to VA to play).

I am wondering about winners and how come there are so many more fromIllinois then anywhere else. Why is that? I live in Virginia, there isvery seldom a big winner there.
