The point of a state lottery is to have jackpots in the $5 million range. The point of multi-state lotteries is to have huge jackpots. You simply cannot have huge jackpots with good odds and an enormous player base. The point is, if you are happy winning $5 million and you want decent odds, then play your state lotto game.-Todd

Remember that $5million is before taxes. And if you choose cash, as you should, even if you invest it wisely it's still not really a lot of money.Though I guess we all have our magic number. Of course, given a check for a couple million I'd be a moron to turn it down.

i dont want no stupid game with odds of 135 million. no sir. 80 million to 1 is high enough. high jackpots like 300 mil is a lot but i would love to hit 5 mil. if someone cant live off 5 mil for the rest of their life they are foolish

It will be interesting to see if Powerball jackpots ever reach the levels that they have in the past -- with all the new players. I'll bet they're keeping close tabs on how Mega Millions does with its new odds / prize structure and Powerball may go through similar changes in a year or so.-Todd

Powerball's 1-in-80 million odds are reasonable considering the combined population off all MUSL members (even more so when you include PA.) Super-6 has always been a questionable game; as of next week it will have outlived its usefulness.

Actually, Powerball has longer jackpot odds; however, the 1-in-40 million odds of Super-6 (as a second-string game) are absurd. Plus, of course, the automatic quick-picks.

very true. super 6 will be either 3 of 4 mil at the most. super 6 will die. powerball has the better odds of winning the jackpot and grows faster. rip super 6.

Super-6 Lotto was hit last night. That means Super-6 will be at most $4 million when the Keystone State begins sales of the MUSL flagship game. Looks like the real beginning of the end of Super-6 as the PA Lottery is working on a replacement game.
