Georgia left PB in 1996 when the Big Game began. (Actully, they wanted to sell PB _and_ BG simultaneously for a few months, but, MUSL kicked Georgia out of PB.) What everybody forgets is that Maine was a MUSL member in the early 1990s, but decided to drop out when Lotto America became Powerball in 1992. Maine and Vermont might as well discontinue their lotteries.

I predict Powerball will lose a state six months after every time Powerball hits the $150,000,000+ mark. People play for the Grand Prize, not the 2nd tier prizes. Duh! I think they would be better off going to a Lotto Texas prize pool (with a slight increase in odds) then going with the route they are appearently going now.

If my memory serves me right, TheBigGame went $80-$110-$150-$230-$363 mil a few years ago. There were 2 winners? Now that there's a huge increase of potential lottery players from the 2 new states, where's the 'lotto hype' suppose to kick in? It's starting to kick in (looking at number of winners). It seems to be real real real slow this round. California's and Texas's seem to freak out with anything above $50 mil, but the rest of the U.S. are like...don't care...for now.... [ More ]

Guess they should rename Mega Millions back to Big Game...they hyped up this new Mega Millions. It should be at $200 million.
