i am going to try and be nice to you because we might become neighbors someday (i am possibly moving to victoria b.c). you present an impressive mathematical arguement. i am not exactly a mathematical genius (or a genius of any other sort for that matter). but all one needs to shoot down your theory (don't take it personal) or anyone else's that make a case that you can develope a system in order to beat the odds is that it is a totally random event. it cannot ever be reduced to a mathematical... [ More ]

Tossing a hundred coins may or may not result in 50 heads and 50 tails. Certain results are more likely than others. This may be shown by what is known as a statistical distribution curve. In this sense, the average is predictable, even though a particular individual outcome would never be certain. The distribution curve is pre-determinable. The reason is that it represents a large sample size, i.e. an average for a large number of repeats of such an experiment. The implications for the game of

There is a science to predicting the lottery. It's still pretty rough around the edges, but it's science none-the-less. In its most simple form, consider the coin-toss. There is no memory in a coin, so past performance should make no difference.. but it does.Coin toss or lotto picks, there is a law of averages that becomes established over time. Theoretically if you flip a minted coin 10 times you should have 5 heads and 5 tails, but it rarely turns out that way. Usually you will get 7 and 3, or... [ More ]

but they can give you the edge,,,in the last 57 drawings of the ohio lottery the numbers 3,10,46 have been drawn a total of 4 times...the numbers 7,8,40 have been drawn 39 times. given that history where would you most likely put your money. I wouldn't say that a lottery software package is going to help me win...what it will do is keep me more into the game with the info it collects.

dear mr. covenant man, keep your head up, you never know. i have always said that thinking positive doesn't guarantee that something more will come your way instead of thinking negative. but if something does come your way you will see it because your gaze will be up, instead of down at the ground. just play the game, you never know what might come your way. .............v-dude

Take a coin and flip it 9 times and record the result. Using the data from the previous 9 flips try to predict if it will be heads or tails on the 10th flip. Do this 100 or 1000 times. In the end you will find that there is still only a fifty-fifty chance you will be able to predict the correct result. Previous results do not affect future results.

Some of the programs I have seen suggests that you load past games into the program. I don't see what difference past games make on future drawings. Even if the balls did have a memory(which they don't)most of the games have several different sets of balls. Plus I am sure that balls and machines have been completely changed out on some of the games. How can these Professional lottery programs be any different than a random number generator I can get for free on the internet

This software I download from the internet (trial) has a filter to get rid of all odd and all even combinations. But those combinations are just as likely to come up as anything else. The reason that you don't see them often is that there are a lot less of these combinations than mixed numbers.
