That's the nice thing about this board, you can project a good image of yourself. If you don't write a lot of crap, people will think you are not poor and knowledgeable. Unfortunely, there are some who expose their real image when they post a lot of nonsense.RJOh

It's true, I have seen the same thing in NY. We have $5 and $10 scratchs off, and people buy these everyday. It's sickening how the lottery preys upon us. But we all fall for it. It's the dream of the big winner. I myself will only play 3 and 4 digit numbers, that's just my game. I'm not interested in wasting my money on scratch offs, or for that matter our horrible lotto 59 game. It would be nice if someday the lottery actually came out with a game with fair odds, but that just might be the big... [ More ]

I live in South Carolina, and my girlfriend works in a convenience store. Sometimes I go sit with her for a few hours. The upper income people may buy one or two tickets. The poorer people buy $20, $40, $100 worth of tickets at a time. I actually saw a man buy $300 worth of scratch off tickets at one time.

Lottery wins big in counties with poorer residents. Poor counties in South Carolina sell more lottery tickets per person than other counties in the state, but whether that means more poor people are buying tickets still is up in the air. I hope these folks aren't spending their welfare checks and their grocery money. from Big Game Lottery Results and News
