RJOh: I'm sure all US lotteries want to sell as many tickets as (reasonably) possible. But it means having the courage to make sensible changes to (and sometimes overhauling) existing games as well as introducing new ones. With Ohio selling MM, there is no need to keep their 6/49 game as is, with or without the free play for three numbers. Eliminate the Kicker. Retire the bonus ball and go back to the 6/47 matrix. To Cash only,I don't think the people at the lottery cares if MM cuts into the sales of 649P tickets as long as they sell more lottery tickets overall. They have Buckeye5 with overall odds of 1:8 for $1 and odds of 1:435,897 for a payout of $100,000.00 and MegaMillions with overall odds of 1:43 for $2 and odds of 1:135M for a payouts of $10M-$100M or better. To Mrcoolsoul,You matched three (07 14 41) in your first line so you get a free QP. If you had a number 05 with those three you would win $5. Check the back of your playing card, it gives you the prizes and odds of winning. The QP for a match three is a promotion that just started the 25th of September.RJOh

RJOh: I'm sure that MM has actually CUT INTO sales of 6/49. I'm glad that somebody hit last night...hopefully from here on out, the Ohio 6/49 will be hit before the jackpot reaches 10 million, so that Ohio will OVERHAUL the game since giving a free play for three numbers will prove to be as effective as a Band-Aid strip on a knee operation.

RJ, I played SuperLotto on Saturday and here were my numbers...03 06 07 14 41 4204 06 08 26 35 45I'm trying to understand how the bonus ball works. It looks like I got 3 numbers correct and I did NOT get the bonus ball(which was 5). Is it if one of my 3 correct numbers had a 5 in the trio I woulda won or is it if I had a 5 anywhere on my ticket I woulda won? Thanks.

To Mrcoolsoul,The Bonus number only counts if you don't match all six regular numbers. If it (the bonus number) is in the combinations that match 3 regular numbers or better, you get a money prize. The winning number was 13-15-18-23-33-45 (07). MrCool: The Ohio 6/49 jackpot went up just 2 million. The Ohio 6/49 bonus ball has much the same purpose as the wild ball in PA Wild Card Lotto (not played in about four years) and NY Lotto.

How much have the jackpots been growing(in annuity) each drawing for this game since MM came on the scene back in May? The Super 6 in PA has only been growing by a half mil each drawing since PB started in late June. Also, how does the BONUS ball thing work? I read on the OH website that you don't pick it and it doesn't show up on your ticket(so how does it get there?).

Hello Lucky,Ohio does have a new promotion for the 649Plus game, you get a free QP ticket when you match 3 without the Bonus ball. When I picked up my free ticket, I had to tell the clerk about it. When the state had the promotion for a free ticket for every 5 Buckeye5 ticket purchase, the clerk at the store thought the free tickets belonged to her until the store manager told her differently. Hi CASH Only,I hear from different store owners that the SuperLotto 6/49 is way down in sales since the Mega Millions game started may 17th - I only play when it reaches 20 million and over! The 3# prize is only if you match the bonus ball with it, and it pays $5.00 ( I personaly think that stinks

Lucky: What do you and your fellow players think of the new 3# prize of a QP ticket? IMHO, the game still needs to be _overhauled_ (I've mentioned what should be done with Ohio 6/49 in previous posts).
