Tonight's Buckeye5 numbers were 02-10-24-33-35 and I played that list again and the time it hit 3 for $10 and 2 for $1 for a $3 profit. Maybe the idea of keeping numbers within a small range by position may have some merit. I still have a little time to play the Megamillion game, so maybe I pick some numbers and play them.RJOh

Close but no cigar. I matched 2/5 for $1 in Ohio, so I may play that same list again. Ohio numbers were 03-04-05-25-31, that 3-4-5 combination most likely would not be covered with my system. The players in Illinois 5/30 have an easier time picking a winner than the players in Ohio 5/37. We in il are reading and monitoring the posts. My personal take on the IL little lotto is very simple, if you select numbers that run together in groups along with the pattern that is most likely to hit on that particular draw then your chances should improve.ie Number patterns (1-10, 2-20, 3-30)Numbers that run in groups well thats more difficult still working on that.Here are some of the numbers that i will choose from for tonights draw 11/145,7,8,9,10,11,15,16,18,19,21,23,24,30

To Retxx and Teufellj,I wrote a GW-Basic program which changed the numbers in the file the way Retxx suggested. It added +1 to the first, third and fifth numbers and -1 to the second and fourth numbers. If the change would cause a duplicate, the next number was not changed. For example, if the combination had adjacent numbers 1-2-and etc., the 1 becamed 2 and the 2 becamed 1, but if the combination had adjacent number 1-3 and etc., the 1 becamed 2 and instead of the 3 becoming 2, it remaine... The program I have takes a file and writes a new file shifting all the numbers any amount (+ or -) or exchange numbers and then I compare the new file to the old file for matches. All the changes should be the same for every combinations or else the results have no value when picking numbers for the future which have no history. rjoh,let me correct you. you ran each digit either up 1 on each number where I had said to run first digit up 1 second digit down 1 etc. try searching your database doing it this way and see what happens. thanks. P.S if there is a duplicate number then insert one of your own and if if the last number cannot be changed then insert one of your own there also. let us know how this turns out.

well here is 2 cents more for what it is worth. Here in Mass.we play the 5/35 mass cash. This silly idea was given to me by a player who has hit 5/5 twice for a payoff of 100,000 in 2 yrs time. All he does is take the previous number and steps up down each digits. ex; say the number is 2 6 9 17 27. his next play would be step up to 3,down to 5,up to 10,down to 16,up to 28. I guess it is as good as a quick pick. Whatever works more power to him. Maybe this might just work in some other states too... [ More ]

Like BfloTG I have tracked Ohio Buckeye5 (5/37) for almost 10 years and have over 2100 drawings in my database. There have been 5 duplications in that time, the last one was 10/18/99. Like wise when I play, I compare my picks to make sure I don't play any combinations of 5 or 4 that have been drawn before since they seldom repeat. On 11/01/02 the winning numbers in Buckeye5 were 02-09-22-24-35. Numbers from the posted list matched three 2 times and matched two 33 times to pay $1.97 for $10 spent. Tonight's numbers 11/02/02 were 06-08-18-21-30 matching three 3 times and matching two 26 times to pay $2.08 for $10 spent. For the whole week numbers from the list matched three 17 times and matched three 181 times to pay $2.10 for every $10 spent. I had the same pay off problem, RJOH. I have been doing some averaging and found out, so far, that in this five ball game, the total sum average range is around 63-116 in general and these range totals so far go back to January 2001. There were 2 match 3 and 30 match 2 in the posted group of numbers which would have yeilded $1.86 for every $10 invested (about the same as playing $10 worth of numbers each draw). This winning numbers had also matched 3 once during the last 40 draws. So far this week, investing more money would not have improved my odds.RJOh

Not necessarily a good pitch, buying more numbers for possibly the same returns. Then again you may be right. There has got to be a binary way to reduce the patterns to manageable understanding. In an offhanded sort of way, I get the notion that the little balls in our machines react similar to the lights on an old fashioned computer bank. While I'm seeing the plays on the tv somehow they just don't jibe wth how the numbers are actually chosen. Teufellj

In the past, I've played 10 combinations when playing the Buckeye5 (5/ 37game)and have usually matched 2 and occasionally matched 3, aveageing $2 a draw or $2 for every $10 played. I have create a list of 269 combinations in which no combination of 3 is repeated which gives me 2690 different combinations of threes of 7770 possible combinations of threes. To TeufelljI wasn't playing down the Maybell forum or pick3 players, but pointing out that if you played the pick5 or jackpot games you had to read a lot of postings before you found a posting about a pick5 or jackpot game. on the chance of looking stupid[again] i always thought there would be something with this but could never find a good way to shuffle the numbers between odd/even it is for 5/30 game and simple.1-7-13-19-252-8-14-20-263-9-15-21-274-10-16-22-285-11-17-23-296-12-18-24-30all 30 numbers for 6 bucks, will have all 5 numbers after the draw but were will the fall?let me know what you think.

When I first found this forum, it was mostly used by Biggame and other Jackpot type game players. Later pick3 player started using it and almost crowded out the jackpot type game players making it more like Maybell, but Todd changed the format and now each type of game has its own section, which makes it easier to find postings about the game of your choice. Hopefully players of the pick5 games have something to share and will post.RJOh
