I agree with you. But since most of us won't win,it's nice to daydream about it. I agree with Stephen King when he said he didn't care how muchtaxes he paid, he just didn't want to pay morethan 50%. After that, just put it somewhere whereyou won't have to worry about it and live alittle. But oh yeah, you actually have to win to make a plan like that.

He doesn't seem to be too happy to get that check (look at his face in the picture).I'm sure winning that much money has been a burden to him, especially since he had to hire 3 people to answer his phone and mail. But geez man, try and at least to FAKE it.

Buckeye,There's no way to predict winning numbers. If there was the lottery commissions would change the way they pick numbers.You can believe the people who sell lottery systems, or you can believe countless mathematicians. That fact doesn't leave much for discussion. End of story.Added: I will admit that there is one lottery system that people use that works. 75% of all winners use this system. It's called Quick Pick.

Buckeye: I live in NY state. Unfortunately, NY _still_ requires the cash/annuity choice for Mega Millions be made when you PLAY (a ticket marked 26 ANNUAL PAYMENTS cannot be changed if you win).

I tend to agree with EZMoney with all the discussion about taxes, IRS, what happens to money if you die, etc.I have been relatively quite on this forum with occassional postings for the State of Ohio with some success.I would like to see more efforts in predicting numbers with some accuracy, and then we all can discuss the merits of cash up front, installments, and the tax implications involved.Give it a rest.Buckeye
