TG: Unfortunately, there is NO cash option for the Mass. 6/42 (or 6/49) and AFAIK there are no plans to improve either game. I would suggest that when you receive the letter asking you whether you would like to renew that subscription (whatever their procedure is) that you write a polite letter in return telling that you will take out a new subscription ONLY after a cash option is available. There are complications with annuity payments that are avoided when the winner collects in lump sum.

It's true, the odds in Mega Millions are terrible, but if they weren't then nobody on here would be dreaming of what to do with their $100 millionjackpot. The fun of that dream is a big part of whypeople play - because no matter how long the odds are, someone somewhere dventually wins an incrediblyhuge amount of money, and why shouldn't that someonebe you? This month I decided to replace my Massachusetts MassCash season ticket with a Mega Millions one. Mass Cash is5/35, odds 324,000 to 1. Most of the winners of lotteries are average people with average incomes.

Harley,What are the chances of going to work in the safest building in the world(Pentagon)and an airplane falls on your head and kills you?Think of it like this. There are two groups..the winning group and the loosing group. Your chances are the same to be in either group. The probably of anythinghappening is always the same...it's 50/50. Either a thing will happen or it won't!But don't buy a ticket and it's 100% you won't.bernard

You can't be struck by lightening if you don't stand in the storm. You can't get in a car wreck if you don't drive. You can't get a hole in one if you don't golf.Hence, you have no chance of winning anything if you don't buy a ticket.Your probability of winning are infinitely greater if you buy at least 1 ticket than if you buy none.I heard a story once, it may have some variations, but it goes something likes this: There was this man who wanted to win the lottery.
