To Cash OnlyIf the Quinto game was changed to a 5/39 game, the odds of winning the jackpot would be 1:575,757 and no State would be dumb enough to offer even a $1/2M jackpot with those odds. If you are e-mailing state lottery commissions with those kinds of ideas, don't expect any replies. RJOh

Cotti: Quinto has the LONGEST odds of any pick-5 game. If Quinto were to be replaced with an all-number game, the number pool almost certainly would be 39 or less. A new pick-5 most likely would give winners a better return for matching 3 or 4 numbers.

I'm just filling out play slips for Quinto's sat. nite draw.$1.9 million cashpot, odds : 1 to 2.6 million. If the state lottocommission were to change Quinto's format, I feel they would also change the structure of the game. Just like lotteries everywhere that have undergone changes, the lottery commission would most likely make the game harder to win. Everett: When lottery players visit different states/provinces, they expect the games to be similar to those of where they live. People EXPECT lotto games to have NUMBERS only. There have been a handful of lotto games where the winning combinations were playing cards instead of numbers, and, AFAIK all have flopped, with the exception of QUINTO. Todd,Thank you for your response. Scratch-offs cannot be predicted, Todd, at least I would not try it. A once a day or twice a day game where many people bet on the same outcome is certainly different. Scratch-offs like Bar pull-tabs really, to me are a cheap copy of Slot machines without going to a casino. Cash,I just voted in your poll. I would like mention another position about Quinto. I would like show some reasoning pro-Quinto here.From the probability standpoint whatever is printed on the 52 balls does obviously not matter. Whether they are cards, girls names, boys names, famous Fifties Rockabilly Stars, Car Brands, Numbers or whatever does not have any impact on the outcome.We know though the general problem with numbers. John: I was thinking of pick-5 LOTTO games. (Then again, there are/have been pick-4 games with a lotto-type format.) Traditional pick-4 games are less popular than pick-3s; besides, pick-5 straight wins, if they ever were to happen, would automatically have federal, etc withholding.
