Lottoscorp: PA _already_ has a Cash 5. The right type of replacement game would be Hot Lotto or a six-number jackpot game with odds in the 10 million- 15 million:1 range.

Ok Greg,Here it is.The BGMM and Powerball are in manyStates with large populations.Super6 is designedto suck money and that's it.I would recomend aPick5/30 for Pa as a replacement lottery with a$250,000.00 for 5 numbers,$5,000.00 for 4 numbersand $10.00 for 3 numbers...That State,Pa have thepopulation to accomodate that.lottoscorp

Greg,You have to keep in mind that when PA started Super 6 as a 6/69 they were still on their own and created the game in that manner, hoping no one would hit, the jackpots would build fast and they would be in Powerball/Mega Millions territory. You are right though, the lower level prizes for it do stink and I'd love to see the game replaced.

My beef with the PA 6/69 game is this:a- Delaware has a 6/38 game!b- New Jersey has a 6/49 game!Obviously, the odds of the above two games are much better than those of the 6/69. 69 numbers is TOO MUCH of a number field. I play the NJ/49 game since I live on the PA/NJ border and my cousin who lives in Delaware plays the 6/38 for us.c- The lower level prizes are a joke.

Lottoscorp: When you play Mega Millions or Powerball, you can choose all your numbers. One major complaint about PA Super-6 is that while you get three plays per dollar, two of them are AUTOMATIC quick-picks (you can select only one set of numbers per dollar). People who like to wheel numbers (eg Gail Howard) aren't able to in Super-6.
