I would like to put a positive spin on little Billy's exposure to prayer in school. Unlike his dad Billy took each experience in stride, not making any comment pro or con to the way other people expressed thier belief in God.Left alone without the narrow mindness of his dad, Billy could grow up to be an understanding person who accepts others for what they are.The tragedy of Thomas's little tale is that in his quest to eliminate God from school prayer, he is teaching his son to be a bigot.pegleg... The term God is a judeo-christian term. It signifies a singular head and not-so-coincidentally is used explicitly in the Old and New Testaments.If you really want God to stay in the pledge, ask for it to be changed to all gods or a better all faiths .To act like God is an ambiguous term is either ignorant or idiotic. Atheists always use psuedo-facts and stories with that make no sense to bolster their arguments. It's designed to frustrate and confuse, just as you pointed out Susan. He has no clear logic for removing the term God from the pledge, so he resorts to trying to divert to a completely different argument and goes on a Christian-bashing mission. Maybe I need better glasses, but I just don't see where Christianity is endorsed in the pledge of allegiance.
