Very disappointing, since there are several things they could do to make the games more appealing, starting with a lump sum jackpot and substantially larger lower prizes. If the 6/42, 6/49, and scratch game winners were allowed to choose lump sum, the vast majority would, and the annuity sellers would have fewer chances to make money.As to why Mass. winners of Mega Millions ARE allowed to choose cash, it has to be the fact that Mega Millions is a multi-state game.</p>]]></description>
