Has anyone came forward that won? Any new info? I would imagine quite a few people actually won some nice money on a jackpot that high. At least, I hope they did. I don't actually know what the tier prizes are and what they would actually pay out. So, I would be interested in hearing what the actual payouts were. Just an observation . . .The news story on this site said 3 million players won about 21.5 million in prizes. That averages out to a little over $7 per person for the lower prizes! No wonder the lottery is still going strong!Another factor is how many tickets were purchased and how many people actually played. They aren't in this for their health, are they?Orangeman

Back when I lived in Florida, when the Florida Lottery Jackpot got up to 50 or 60 million, I heard of people taking out loans on their houses to play. Now 60 million is nothing.

Of course not. Hey, I've been in the same job for 20 years. I enjoy my security but I certainly wouldn't mind retiring early and fulfilling my dreams. If I ever settle on what they are. But like I said, people aren't thinking clearly when there is a huge jackpot. Some people lose everything they own plus their families just on banking on winning. There is a poll floating around the internet that says 27% of the people polled are depending on lottery winnings for their retirement. WHOA! Dreaming about winning the big one is fun, but don't base your life on it.

As we grow older, thoughts of retirement become very major. Future generations may not even have Social Security. At your age, I hope you are setting something asise for the future. So, alot of have our dreams and are wondering in we still have times to fulfill them.
