I play alone. I figure if i win i'd have enough family members and friends on the trust as is. why add to it people you barely know if at all. lottery syndicates on the other hand are total scams.

i think i'd rather play the lottery alone. in theory, a syndicate would expose me to more sets of numbers per draw, but the trade off would be the nagging worry of what happens if or when a prize is won. life would be so much easier to cash in a ticket by myself (whatever the prize amount). besides, i really don't need a syndicate...it only takes one ticket to win at lotto

No syndicates but a group formed of family or a few close friends is fine. But a person would have to make sure everything was on paper..regardless because MONEY makes some people into monsters. I am waiting for the TN lottery so I can join a group.

Playing the lotteries though a syndicate is a good way to give your money to someone you don't know and never will see and pay them a fee for taking your money. The syndicates I've seen don't work like the pools you form with co-workers and family members, they are businesses that take your money, pick your numbers, buy some tickets(maybe) and make a nice profit and all operate outside the jurisdictions of the courts.
