Did you notice last night they posted what the new jackpot would be ($79M) if nobody hit - at the same time they posted their results? (About 11:04 PM) About 15 minutes later they replaced it with Results Pending until about 12:45. I don't think they should have launched their site in-progress, it's not very professional .

I realize the lump-sum cash amount is in the neighborhood of 50% of the annuity - but it is nice to have an official number. For my pool we take that number, subtract out the anticipated tax withholdings, and divide by the number of members to give each member of the pool an idea of their take-home amount should we be the only winners of the jackpot. My members like seeing that number.

I noticed this weekend that the official Powerball site was revamped and no longer posts the lump-sum cash amount for the jackpot (just like the official Mega Millions site does not). I was wondering if Todd would consider posting the lump-sum cash amounts along with the annuity jackpots along the right-hand side of the main page where all the big jackpots are listed. I manage a pool for my coworkers, and we play both Mega Millions and Powerball - we would find it most helpful. Thanks,
