Thomas .......still just having fun with this topic. Your right on the mild effects of the Coriolus in the face of stonger influences. You will have to admit the effect still has some powerful manifestations, however. It is funny.. that your particular toilet is contrary to all the others in the northern hemisphere. One can only guess at the entropy that has been introduced to affect this Random dvent .That was a real crack up! No pun.... LOL

http://www.terrylove.com/wc/totocst744s.htmwhen it comes to toilets thats the one to get - its designed to handle 900 grams of waste and has a 3 wide valve. you could poop out a thanksgiving turkey and never need a plunger. had a plumber recomend the toliet because my old one took forever to unplug.http://www.totousa.com/toto/viewperformancetoilets.aspi only mention that because after spending weeks with a plunger now i dont need one

Heres one for you then;If there is a satelite in space hovering around the equator in one constant direction and the people in the Northern hemisphere say it is moving from left to right, What would the people in the Southern Hemisphere say?Same can be said with the motion of water when in a bowl. When looked at from the top it would be rotating in a different direction to the view from the bottom.Therefor I vote yes....Are there any mad scientist out there to prove this.

If your toilet is big enough. LOL I'm not going to go against Thomas on this toilet subject thing. In a court of law he could easily and legally be certified an expert witness on this subject. Things that go in reverse...that is. I'll bet ya one thing however....if our's swirl to the right or clockwise ....Thomas' Toilet goes the other way..... and flushes counter clockwise.... for sure. LOL

Stolen from a couple of websites. Compared to the rotations that one usually sees (tires on a travelling automobile, a compact disc playing music, or a draining sink), the rotation of the Earth is very small: only one rotation per day. The water in a sink might make a rotation in a few seconds and so have a rotation rate ten thousand times higher than that of the Earth. It should not be surprising, therefore, to learn that the Coriolis force is orders of magnitude smaller than any of the forces... [ More ]
