Correction to my previous post. The estimated jackpot for the 15th roll was set at $221.5 million. This established a new 15 roll record beating the previous $216.3 record set on Dec 21, 2002 (on it way to the $314.9 million jackpot on Dec 25, 2002).Good luck,Jake

The last roll of Powerball did not set a record. It rolled 15 times to reach $210 million. The 15 roll record is $216.3 set on Dec 21, 2002 (on it way to the $314.9 million jackpot on Dec 25, 2002).On the other hand, the current Powerball jackpot may still surpass the $210 million estimate.Good luck,Jake

Plus if Powerball exceeds it's record level there is a Match 5 Bonus that kicks in and allows people that get 5 white (no PB) to potentially win Millions instead of $100,000 to $500,000.

Todd, I agree that the jackpot will be advertised as $170 million right up till draw time. But when the actual jackpot level is announced after the draw (whether it is won or not), it will be well over $170 million.Like you said, we will see.Good luck,Jake

I think it will stay at $170 Mil because so many people are traveling. I think most of Saturday's tickets have already been bought in advance.The bigger question is...can this country support two games both over $200 Mil at the same time? That will be very interesting to see.

I estimate that if nobody hits Saturday it will go to $225 million. I also predict that it will stay at $170 million for this draw (not be increased before the draw). We'll see Jake

I think the $170 million estimated for the next Powerball jackpot was too conservative. I estimate it will reach $180 million. The previous jackpot was reported at $143 million (a jump of $26 million). For the Dec 27 draw, I estimate it will jump at least $37 million to $180.Good luck,Jake
