I am interested in knowing if the Powerball rolls over 100 million into the next two rolls couldn't MUSL set the jackpot at say 350+ mill if the jackpot hadn't reach the record before they start the match 5 bonus and go to the 25 mill raises.

I doubt that will happen. Once it exceeds the previous record. It will then be capped at $25 Mil per roll and the Match 5 bonus will be in play. It'd probably have to rollover 2 more times to break the previous record. Putting it around $330 Mil and then each roll after that would be $25 Mil. So it would take approximately 6 more rolls. I just don't think it will happen. But I hope it does

It is interesting to speculate which of the two big jackpots will be won first, Powerball or Mega Millions.Whichever one goes first, the other one will get an added boost to the jackpot level because a lot of money will cross state lines. Millions of dollars are won on low tier prizes, much of which is used to buy more tickets on the next draw. I speculate that a lot of the money will go from the game whose jackpot is won to the other game that still has the big jackjpot.
