since lotteries are regulated currently by states not the federal government i don't think it would work. some states are also against lotteries like utah and nevada and would fight that proposal

Powerball and Mega Millions are just fine. It also creates competition between the states involved and gets money flowing between them. I'm in a Powerball state and have traveled to Illinois for my fair share of tickets. Let's keep the money moving.
