Congrats on your wonderful gift I have a couple of my own that have changed me in many ways there is nothing more precious than a new child. As for anyone wanting to or thinking about forging a ticket/reproducing a winning ticket don't try it unless you want a change of address. Cause you'll be spending time in the state pen.

I don't know how WV works, but in PA, they can make you wait up to 6 weeks to validate the winning ticket for higher tier prizes.

Toaster,Some advice (if you do not mind).Sign the back of the ticket right away.Make a photocopy of the ticket and keep the photocopy in a seperate location from the original in case you lose the original.If you scan the ticket, do not post anywhere until you have redeemd the original and have check in hand. If I am not mistaken, you should be able to get it right then. With my friend they ask her to wait just so they could throw together a party and take pictures at the store where she bought it (to help drum up business for the store) and she did wait but I think they told her if she didn't want to she could have had the check right then. My wife got a ticket for the powerball on Dec.31 in Wv on her way to her friends wedding, we checked it today and we got 5 numbers but not the powerball and she didnt do the powerplay thing. How much taxes are going to be taken out of our winnings
