here's an obsevation that may or may not be of use in drawing #139 (2/4/2004)in 138 drawings, the 3 has been drawn in the FIRST position (sort order) 4 times.3 of those times, it was followed by the number 6 in the next draw...do we have a possible good bet with a 6 as the position 1 number

there would be many variables to consider in a multi-dimensional approach to the reverse engineering of each draw and the numbers it ultimately produced at a specific moment in time. since we are dealing with mechanical machines and 53 or 42 celluloid or rubber balls in each...we might be dealing with such variables as estimated humidity in iowa within the studio (the drawing site) at the moment of the draw date. what can affect the tides would certainly be suspect as affecting the statistical o... [ More ]

How about reverse engineering? The key may be in the past draw history...perhaps something labor-intensive like developing a list of observed truisms for each number in each position... or having the stats at hand and trying to decode the differences.... find out what indicators may have been available (hindsight is always 20/20)... only trying it back in history, not for the draw where you have no results yet...

Good stuff! at a given instant in time .... good point, most lottery systems miss the temporal component completely... a multi-dimensional Quantum approach ... all well and good, but first the dimensions need to be defined.statistics are static... maybe something more dynamic needs to be added to the mix...

Hello Hypersonic and other lotto comerades:Why not try dividing your PowerBall into:THREE parts of 17-18-18 balls?!Or FOUR parts of 13-13-13-14 balls?!This way, you can also better include decades that overlap/double up that is, say a pattern of two single numbers and three numbers in thirties...etc! You can then base your picks on the majority/percentage of the balls that fall in the respective segments (sectors on pie chart)...

Hyper, maybe this can be adapted to the match 6. Remember the only way to match 10 of 6 drawb (out of 18 on the ticket) is to have numbers repeated. The lottery that plays itself. You pick 6 with twelve extra more drawn.. Win a chance to win extra. Different. Who knows
