I just hope whoever bought that ticket is aware of the fact that they are a winner and for whatever reason this person is taking his or her time coming forward. It would really burn me up that someone would win this amount of money and through carelessness or not caring enough just to lose the ticket or throw it out. I am wondering if their is going to be another lost ticket incident were they find it a day after the time runs out and want their money. Now that would be hilarious and I would definitely get a good chuckle out of that one.

I wouldn't doubt the winner is in jail. Or possibly in the service and shipped off to the Middle East. Could have been involved in a bad accident and still in traction or rehab, or a comma Who knows ? It could be the winner is afraid of the way his or her life will be altrered as a result. I've often wondered how my life would change if I won the big one. If, in a way I might regret it. I just might, but I'm gonna find out the hard way, if I happen to be so fortunate.

All the states get their millions that they contributed to the jackpot prize. It would be funny if it was a Virginia government worker and can't claim the prize due to eligibility rules...hahaBrad

I also think the ticket is either lost or destroyed. If it was me who won $239 million dollars, and I had to set things straight before I claimed the prize, It would take me at most 21 days. And also the fact that i'm impatient, I would only be able to wait long enough for my tax accountant to do his job.How many states return the prize money back to the pool if no one claims it

But it isn't 60 days of the drawing. Its 60 days after your ticket it validated and you claim it. So I believe it doesn't matter from that stand point. But just think of the interest you are losing while waiting $5342.00 a day at 1.5% interest if the cash option is worth $130 million. All that money is just going to the state!Brad

I always thought a good time to claim a big jackpot would be to wait until the jackpot gets up there again and it is won. Then claim your jackpot about a few days after the person who just won claims their jackpot. This way people may get you confused with the person who just won and already came forward and think you are old news. This may draw less attention to yourself. Just a thought I guess.

As far as I know, no one's come forward.I would guess that the person is trying to plan the best strategy for coming forward to avoid problems. I hope the ticket's not lost!I'd have claimed it and I'd be overseas by now.
