Altho the winnings aren't taxable per $500 ticket, a payment of 10 grand or more to your mortgage holder is reported to the IRS by the lender. My lender warned me, so I chose not to pay off the house that way. I wonder who else reports what you buy to the IRS....

I agree with you completely about Martha Stewart. If I had to send people to jail because they had poor attitudes, the streets would be empty.

No. The IRS requires tax to be paid on gaming amounts of $600 or more. Though you have separate tickets that total more than $600, the threshold per ticket is still not equal to the taxable amount of $600. Hope that put a smile on your face.

If I have 100 seperate winning tickets at $500.00 a piece do I have to report it to the IRS.
