Another little trick to keep from wasting time while waiting for pages to load is when you see a link on the search page, instead of clicking on it, right click on it and choose open in new window. That way you can always stay on the search page and look at other things while the page is attempting to load. If you get a page not found, then you can just close the new window, and right click on the next one and do the same thing. plnwebguy

OpenMinded,Here are a couple things to try - if you're doing the search on Google, sometimes you can click on the Cached option and it will pull up the old pages. Not always, but sometimes. If that doesn't work, then try this site - http://www.archive.org/web/web.php - it's called the Wayback Machine and can sometimes pull up old pages if you know the URL.Hope that helps, plnwebguy

Openminded the folks at NASA crunch the lottery numbers and other numbers all the time on their super computers. I believe one of the employees won a big lottery jackpot using his home made formula. There are links to NASA sites but it would take hours finding the one with the lottery math formulas. I think I ran across it a year or so ago if I find it again I will post the web address.

Todd, I know you've been asked this question numerous times...Are you really with the Lottery Commission? If so, what are Wednesday's PowerBall Numbers? Just joshing.By the way, the school examples were just the two that I could think of at the time and/or am willing to speak of right now (still researching a lot of ideas). The topics I research come from various sources from the common little man to NASA. But, I'll accept your explanation and understand that sites don't last forever.

Oh, OK. In that case, another contributing factor may be that the sites may have been posted by students. Students that may no longer be at the school, and therefore would no longer publish a site there. Then again, maybe they've hit the lottery. Let us know what you discover

Well, what I really meant to say was this... The sites that I've had problems getting on to have nothing to do with the lottery at all. They are sites concerned with subjects that, through my research, I believe to contain a missing link to the lottery. For example, it might be a site from a college math department dealing with T-Numbers or a science department dealing with Ligranges. Off the wall sites, from a lottery chaser's point of view - you know? Just when I find a good one, the site... [ More ]

Just re-reading my post above, the most blatant example of this would be the demise of Maybell's, which I think exhibited each of the three points above. Maybell's was starting to get a lot of traffic, and it still died. Imagine what it's like for a smaller site.

The fact is that a lot of the sites disappear because people who start the sites find out that:It is not profitable to maintain a lottery Web siteIt takes a lot of timeLottery players tend to be very demanding, which can be a little shocking to the uninitiated.
