Not quick picks but from calculating possibility to win within a short period of time. And Yes,I do play every week but the amount of the tickets only depends on maths.I do some accurate calculating and see if I will beat the odds or not from past winners and make a plan to play, including how much tickets to play.50 tickets is perfect as I always believe but maybe I wont stick to one lotto a time.Maybe I would start the lottery poll and play 10 kinds a time and guarantee a winner within them

DoctorEW220, It certainly seems that way. The only times I have ever won was when I was playing the Pick 3 many years ago and I was putting down maybe $5 worth of numbers. Lately I've been playing $20-$25 a week on various games and not hitting anything. It almost seems like the lottery gods strike you down when you try to win LOL. It seems like one of those things that happens when you least expect it go figure. I'd be curious to hear about someone who tried to win... [ More ]

hotlotto, I noticed your signature says 50 tickets a time! see if the winner is made for you . I've often considered doing this. Over a short period of time just to see if it could produce a big winner. I think it teeters on the borderline between casual and compulsive lottery playing but I'd consider doing it for a short stint. That would be $50 a week and $400 if you did it for 2 months. I don't know but I have always liked the $50 figure. It seems like a realistic amount of... [ More ]

I know exactly what you mean about the generator producing bad combinations. I'd say for every 10 quick picks, you get about 3 dead combinations. At least in my case it has. Or like you said, ones that are very similiar to previous drawings. If I were to drop $80 on the Buckeye 5,I'd have to go with quick picks simply because there's no way I'm gonna fill out all those bet cards. LOL. Now,however,if I was going to put $10-$20 on it,I'd probably take the time out and pick my own numbers which... [ More ]

There is a big difference playing your own numbers and buying quick picks 80 guickpicks should produce a winner. But might not like Bob said then the next eighty guick picks could produce 10 winners or more and the next 180 produce nothing. Quickpicks are not the way to go. The lottery can generate numbers on quick picks that wouldn't hit till the cows came home. Many times the guick pick generator punches numbers that are similar to the ones that hit in the last 5 to 10 games and are so far fro... [ More ]

When they say your chances of a 3# or any prize are 1 in 80, they mean you will average a prize for every 80 tickets purchased. If you don't win a prize in the first 80, then you can hope to win 2 prizes in the next 80, it's an over time thing not guaranteed. It would be very interesting if it were guaranteed, if the lottery could be made to provide the combinations that would guarantee a win, but they won't, mostly because they can't, even if they wanted to.

If winning the top prize of $100K was as easy as buying $80 worth of tickets, everybody would be doing it. The odds of 1:88 for a match3 in a 5/37 game if based on the fact that there are 435,897 possible combinations of fives and with any 5 numbers, at least 3 of those numbers will be part of 4,960 of those combination hence 4,960/435,897 =1/88. You should note that 201,376 of those combinations don't have any of the five numbers.RJOhNote: Since 1 combination has a 1:435,897 chance of winning... [ More ]
