people have own the jackpot by only purchasing 1 ticket. remember that $195 million jackpot back in october. both winners only purchased one ticket.

I hope everyone on this site will win the lottery or be blessed financially by the Almighty! As for me, I have not seen my biological family (overseas) for the past 21 years (my brothers were teens last time I saw them). The only way I can purchase the plane tickets, take some time off from work to see them would be to win the lottery. It does not have to be a huge amount couple of millions will do for me.

The only way winning a lottery could create more problems is if you let it by not managing and spending the money wisely.Basically if you do an MC Hammer or Mike Tyson then you just created a major problem otherwise your life financially will be very smooth if done the right way.

Winning will solve a lot of problems, that's for sure, and gives you incredible opportunities to do and have things you didn't think possible before. I think the big thing comes if you win so much you no longer have to work your regular job. You have all this money, and after years of routine you no longer work, so what do you do to fill up your days? Just shop? Hang out at the dog track? I think you have to have a plan of what to do after you've bought the house, HDTV, etc.

When times are tight you reduce the amount and how often you play, but you never stop because only when you stop are you a loser for sure. Actually it's important to a healthy state of mind to have something cooking, a potential way out, open door, etc. Many of the stories about winners I've read have been out of work players. Hey, when your luck hits bottom where else can it go?BobP

I said no, but it all depends on what one thinks of as problems. And what constitutes winning.? Agree with the previous post. Money doesn't buy happyness, (it may rent it for a short time, though).I suppose the answer you want to hear is that, IF a sum of money won is great enough such as to cover every expense, and eliminate the necessity of a day job, then what?
