I get a quick pick ticket every time I play Powerball or Mega Millions, because there is no such thing as a winning number strategy in lottery games. It's all just dumb luck if you win a prize! However, when the jackpot is high enough for me to warrant two tickets, then on the second ticket, I replay the same numbers every time.

I am also against playing the same numbers for a long period of time. I will at times play the same numbers for 2 or 3 days in row but never longer. In just of terms and hot and cold numbers, you could have number combinations that are all hot or all cold for periods of time and they could stay that way for months at a time. It is very, very, very rare in a game like Powerball or Mega Millions to have all hot numbers drawn and almost never for all cold numbers to be drawn. If you have either of

From everything that I have seen and heard from myself and others, things are not the same for everybody, for me there is no such thing as luck and or lucky number(s) or random, I don't like quick picks, I have played jackpot games very few times, the only time that a quick pick game me any winning numbers (2 of them) was when I used the Lottery post RNG, all other times nothing at all, when I have picked my own numbers, I almost always got 2 numbers right and 1 number off by 1 and sometimes 1 n... Sticking with the same numbers for LONG periods of time is a strategy that doesn't work for everyone just like using quick-picks,software and systems don't work for everyone.For those that do well with these methods continue using them those that don't should switch around with these methods until one works for you.I never play the same numbers over and over and over because it doesn't work for me just like quick-picks didn't work.So I started selecting my own numbers to play and have done a LOT... I play combinations that have not matched much in the past, so if they are somone favorite numbers, they haven't help them yet. In some lotteries there are over 100M possible combinations and less than 2K of them will ever come up during the life of that lottery , that a lot of losers that a person could pick as his favorite numbers. However, I do play a few family birthdates when there's a board empty on my playing cards.RJOh

I wouldn't stay with favorite numbers as they don't offer nothing in return..we see how numbers drop and they are Always different except on occasion when they come in back to back...I have been there and bought the t shirt but I can tell you that chasing down the numbers is more lucrative as i have won more then i have invested by changing numbers every game . I will stick to my personal plays for all games lotto, mega, Bonus Match 5, Powerball and any other state games i may travel to to play. My reasoning for this is sometimes my personal numbers have hit for smaller prizes. They have never hit for the jackpot yet. So they have just as much chance of hitting as any other set of numbers. I've tried staying with the same numbers for long periods, reasoning that it's much easier for a fixed target to be hit than a moving one. I had some success. but no results to brag about. Given what we know about the nature of the beast, it seems wise to make some modifications from time to time. I generally like to start with some core numbers based an my selection theory, and then I adjust them after each draw if data and experience suggest that. I have stuck with the same Mega Million, Powerball and Cash 5 quickpicks for almost a year now and I am beginning to wonder if that is a good idea because the most I've ever won at one time is $7.00. I used to stay with my own lucky numbers (they were good for cash 5 anyway) on powerball... I gave that up because a quick study of the 100% range revealed they are not in the proper groupings to have produced any winners... now of course they could come up, but if I already know they are out of observed range, it's just a $1 donation per draw... if your lucky numbers are 1-2-3-4-5... think twice before sticking with them because they will probably not come up, and if they DO... there will...
