also, florida is where most of the retired, old people live, and statistics show that a lot of them play the lottery. perhaps the florida lottery makes enough money for huge rollovers because of the retired population.

remember that florida doesn't participate in a multi-state game, and therefore the only shot at becoming a millionaire is florida lotto. once florida joins a multi-state game, sales will go down for florida lotto.

To me, Lotto South (1 - 49) is a joke. It's carried by all these States and only starts out @ $2 Million and only rises a $Million each rollover. The Florida Lotto (1 - 53) starts out @ $3 Million and goes up anywhere from $3 Million - $4 Million at a time. That sounds like some extra greedy politicians are running Lotto South to me. I'm from GA and isn't Lotto South run by GA? If it is then that tells me a lot.
