In a 6/49 game these are:OOEOEO, OEOOEO, OEOEOO, OEOEOE, OEOEEO, OEEOEO, EOEOEOThe above 7 patterns (out of 64 total) have a 2.12% chance to occur. On the other hand, there are patterns that have much less chance to occur.

The idea was to look to see which odd/even patterns would be the best to use when making combinations using all 49 numbers also, which high/low patterns would be the best to use. There are 20 3/3 odd/even patterns and 15 2/4 patterns and 15 4/2 patterns. That's 50 odd/even patterns to make combinations with.I had just gotten started working on this and had to turn my attentions toward other things so I have never went much farther than making the charts.

Let me try to get this all in perspective. If you opt to use odd/even as a reduction criteria for selecting your final lottery numbers. How many combinations for example would be eleminated if you chose 0/6-6/6 and what error % would you introduce into your selection process.Food for another discussion is what are acceptable error %'s? What yeilds the smallest error% with the greatest amount of reductions?...

In a pick 6 playing all combinations of odd/even 0/6 thru 6/0 there are 64 chances of having 0 or 6 in the correct positions. There are 384 chances of having 1 or 5 in the correct positions. There are 960 chances of having 2 or 4 in the correct positions and there are 1280 chances of having 3 in the correct positions. This is not taking account for actual numbers but odd/even positions only.I am understanding a little more now as I can see why the term odds came about when talking chance. Like most others here, it's a work in progress.Anyway taking the Pick 3 odd/even distribution, the calculations are simple. Just write down all the possible odd/even combinations like below. Divide the combination group by the total amount of combinations that can be generated times 100 and your on your way. What's interesting about this is-if you decide to eliminate the All Odd and Al... [ More ]

JKING:Where the heck did you get this stuff and how did you compute it?I just looked as UCI's numbers, saw they were binary, figured there are 2^6, and then manually looked for where he had duplicated any. I would not know how to calculate these the way you did.
