so far the best I could backtest was a miserable 3% of match 2's over the game's 3100+ draw history... hardly groundbreaking, components are not the main focus tho, I still need to code a composite backtest formula...

It is always smart to play a take five game when the jackpot is 500k or more. Figure a 20% payback at the lower level prizes meaning your are bucking true odds of 1 to 1 on the 575k to one odds it is to hit the big prize.

first shot, first kill...matched 2 on the ticket, in position...someone won, so for now the system remains on paper (till that JP rolls to maybe 400k). Still need to test past results for in position hits, still no way of whipping up an easy solution to out-of-position hits... that's currently the holy grail du jour i am searching for in excel...if paper play holds up for a week, I might just lower the play limit to 200k, just to get more shots at it... or I could play them all, it would only... [ More ]

Back to adding the PA Cash5 in the mix... Just updated my spreadsheet which hasn't been touched since 6/5/04! took awhile because the entire thing was redesigned to incorporate the same system I use to get 1 pick for Match6 and Powerball... weighted stat averages.I am hoping that with 3100+ draws, it becomes a bit more accurate than the PB or M6
